Sampler Quilt 2011 - Week 20 - Clays Choice

Clay's Choice is made with half square triangles and squares and uses 3 fabrics.

Fabrics

fabric 1Fabric 1: Cut 1 strip(s) 2 inches wide. Subcut into 4A squares. Cut 1 strip(s) 23/8 inches wide. Subcut into 4 B squares.
fabric 2Fabric 2: Cut 1 strip(s) 23/8 inches wide. Subcut into 4 B squares.
fabric 3Fabric 3: Cut 1 strip(s) 2 inches wide. Subcut into 4A squares.

Instructions

  • Match one B square each of fabric 1 and 2 right sides together.
  • Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on wrong side of lighter fabric.
  • Sew 1/4 inch seam on both side of diagonal line.
  • Cut units apart on drawn diagonal line.
  • Press seam to one side.
  • Makes 2 units per square pair.
  • Make 8 per block for a total of 8.
